The fish is weighed on the boat right after the catch just as soon as it's safe to do so. The fish is then de-headed and gutted and thrown into ice. Once we make our dockside inspection if there is a weight discrepancy the fish weight may be LOWERED and the price adjusted accordingly. The weight may only be adjusted down, never higher. Our fishermen work their hardest to be safe & accurate but sometimes it's hard, if not impossible, to get an accurate weight on a pitching deck.
