1. Hawai'i does have a few legal fishing seasons so it might not be legal to fish for your species now.
2. There are some natural cycles where a species may not be around much.
3. We want to lower the chance of exposure to ciguaterra so we do not sell certain species or certain sizes.
4. There may be a local Kapu on a species. Traditions are followed when determining which fish to harvest a certain times of year. So the fish may be in season and plentiful but still not fished for.
